It's almost 50 degrees out and the sun is shining...the thick layer of ice on my driveway (plow company stopped plowing our driveways) is melting. Tomorrow will be the same so hopefully it'll be enough to shovel completely. So far, I've had a lovely weekend at home. There is a purring kitty in my lap as I type and I hope I have the motivation after this to work out so I can do some errands and grocery shop. Friday night, I went straight to Ashley's house to hang out with my bitches. It's hard to not go home after work on Fridays but it was the only day that worked for the 3 of us; luckily it was worth it because I wasn't too tired and we ended up laughing really hard which doesn't always happen. We decided in advance to draw portraits of each other and they came out looking like totally different people and we assigned random names and made up back stories about each one. Ended up being the kind of laugh that hurts...good times. Would have been even better if Grace had won her bball tournament. Yesterday, I managed to get up and drag myself to Barre then took it easy for the rest of the day. I was beat, however, I did manage to vacuum my house, do some laundry and the dishes, and made my grocery list. Tomorrow, I hope to work out, shovel, and start the process of refinancing my house. Interest rates are low and I'd like to switch to a shorter term.
The last full weekend in January is where I last left off. I honestly don't remember if I went to Barre that Saturday morning (don't think I did) but I headed out around noon to go to some new friends' house to help them out with IM injections as part of the IVF process they're going through. I met them through Micaela. Afterwards, I picked up Emilee's birthday from Umpleby's bakery in Hanover, ran a few errands and did my grocery shopping. Sunday, I went to Ctown to hang with Simone for a little bit then spent time with Emilee and the kids for her birthday. We visited, went to Ramunto's for dinner followed by a quick Wal-Mart trip and cake and ice cream. I visited with my Mom for a little bit before heading home for the night. On Monday, I spent time making phone calls, reaching out to people and gathering information to help me make a decision about whether or not I can downsize my water meter. As it stands now, it's unlikely but I'm waiting to hear back from the Lebanon assistant fire chief. Supposedly, he's going to get in touch with someone from the water department and come look at my sprinkler system. I am hopeful they follow through.
The following weekend, I got up Saturday morning and went to Barre. I headed to Newbury after that for armpit electrolysis...almost done! I got back into town and got an elliptical work out in before heading to my friend's house to do their injection. I grabbed groceries (saw Dayna and Cory at the Hannafords) and called in a night. Sunday, I did stuffies and headed back over to do the injection at the same time but stayed and visited over coffee. I headed home after to make banana bread and not watch the Super Bowl. Monday, I did random stuffies and went for a run. I woke up that Tuesday morning with a pounding headache so I stayed home.
The following week was another short week as my boss sent me to the Go Red for Women event at the Hanover Inn that Friday. It counted as a regular work day...score. It wasn't bad...there was good coffee, a delicious lunch and a good presentation by Dr. Stan. We took fun pictures and there were a lot of good items being auctioned. I bid on a package including a 10 class pass at my yoga studio and a 2 hour consultation at Busy Women Wellness. Also made a donation during lunch and stayed after the event ended and had a drink with some coworkers at Pine. I ran a quick errand then was home for the night as it was snowing and the roads were bad. Saturday, I went to Barre and did my grocery shopping. Sunday, I did stuffies. Monday was the same but ran some errands with a Lucky's latte (need to support them as they have been the target of cyber bullying by right wing nutjobs) including turning in my absentee ballot and the Strong House Spa. I finished the afternoon with a 6 mile rail trail show shoe.
Last weekend was a poor motivation weekend. I slept poorly Friday so I didn't get up and go to Lou's for breakfast like I had planned and I also skipped out on Barre. I was supposed to have Simone for the day and night but she woke up Saturday and threw up (most likely from too much junk food the previous day) and went back to bed. Instead, I went to her house and hung out with her while Heather worked. We went to the Cantina for dinner, played and watched movies. She was ready for bed by the time H got home around 11. Sunday, I did stuffies and got groceries. I unclogged my bathroom sink and broke the rusted pin that raises and lowers the sink stopper so I ended up finding the part and fixing it on Monday. Go me. I also gave away Xander's old water fountain and went for a run on Monday.
Work is work, I'm still listening to the same music and still working on getting rid of things here and there.
