Snow is melting and it smells like SPRING

Oh and I have a new job. I shadowed in the Cath lab on the 18th and liked what I observed so I decided to apply. At least I think I do. Almost 13 months of being miserable in the ICU and the countdown has begun, I see the light...8 more shifts until vacation. I don't have an official start date but I'm hoping I'll return from vacation to a fresh start. I got a voice mail and email last Friday with an official offer. I was so relieved and happy it brought tears to my eyes. I replied to the email and left 2 voice mails but haven't heard back from HR so I'm getting a little nervous. Dayna and I went out and celebrated after I woke up Saturday post-night shift. A lil barhopping (Gusanoz, Salt Hill, Canoe Club) and good reason to get really intoxicated. Anyways I guess I shouldn't expect things to happen overnight, even though that's what I really want. These last 8 shifts are going to be oh so difficult.

So, vacation. California! I am flying into San Francisco on the 27th and arriving home early 4.3. I am going to visit Suzy and her hubby in the Bay area and also will be spending time with Cynthia and Annie. Nothing concrete but I know I'll be cheering Suzy on for her half marathon that first weekend and we have tickets for an Alcatraz tour (sweet). By the time I get home, it'll be a few short days from Tribal Seeds at Higher Ground...so f**king excited. And we have a hotel this time so we can drink and not worry about driving...maybe another tour bus invite this time??

I've decided that I'm better off alone. I told Kalen and he was disappointed but understanding a little bit, maybe. Whatever, I do enough things on a regular basis that I don't want to do...why spend any more time doing just that when I don't have to. I'm perfectly happy at home by myself with my cat. I prefer it. It's hard to have a conversation of that nature (especially after he sent me flowers at work on Valentine's Day) but it was the right thing to do. Moving on.

Little Simoney turned 3 March 1st and we had a princess-themed family party complete with a Friendly's ice cream cake at Merm's. Fruit, veggies, amazing spaghetti and meatballs, and garlic bread...and a very excited little girl doing her best to be patient lol Good times playing, eating, and hanging with the fam. She'll be starting preschool in the Fall...where does the time go? It seems like she was blowing raspberries not too long ago lol

As of yesterday, our Mexico vacation was officially booked. Dayna and I will be spending an amazing week in October on the Riviera Maya. HELL.YES. Ocean view room with hopefully good weather and not a care in the world. Thankful for a good tax return this year and props to me for getting rid of my smaller mortgage last week.

I am night shift hungover and need to figure out something for dinner tonight...lata.

What's good to eat: My Merm's homemade spaghetti and meatballs.

What's on repeat: Submersible by Passafire
