Is it summer yet?

This has been a record breaking year for snow...I feel like I haven't seen this much snow in years. Like, when I was little. Although, when I was smaller, everything seemed bigger. And I can't always trust my memory. I mean, CSC had a snow day today...I don't remember that ever happening the four years I was here. Windy Hill BS. With the amount of snow we've gotten, summer won't be here until July. It better be sunny in the 80s on my birthday or I'm moving to CA.

Speaking of...I have vacation the end of March and hopefully will be going to the Palo Alto area to hang out with the fam, Suzy and her hubby. Suzy is doing a half marathon in San Francisco so that'll be cool to be there. I'm waiting for that schedule to post before I look at tickets. Also, Tribal Seeds will be in Burlington 4.5 and I'm not going back to work until 4.9 so that'll be a friggin sweet week. Found out today they will also be in Boston 4.4 so I'm considering seeing them 2 nights in a row...because I love them that much. April is magic.

Brandi and Addi came to NH for the weekend 1.16 to visit Kelly and Ruby and, luckily, I had the weekend off so they stayed with me in my notsetupyet second bedroom. They brought me mexican take out after I got out of work Friday and Brandi and I had a girls night with wine and ice cream after she put Addi to bed. We got up Saturday and ate bacon and overnight french toast before heading out for the day. We went to the Montshire, King Arthur Flour, Kelly and Ruby's, and, last but not least, Lui Luis. We all met up again on Sunday morning for breakfast at Lou's (no line!) before they headed back to Maine. The weather became shitty and Brandi lost count eventually of all the cars they passed off the road. It took a long time but they made it home safely THANKFULLY a truck in front of them started fishtailing and she slowed down before anything bad happened.

So I went to my first ICU social outing on the 22nd at 7 Barrel Brewery. It was an interesting night...to say the least. Dayna came with me from Margaritas (thirsty Thursday!) but left early because she had to work the next day. After that, I just felt socially awkward and out of place which reinforces my belief that I don't belong in the ICU. Good people watching...especially the karaoke regulars. So one of my coworkers who got there around the same time we did drank 3 glasses of wine and transformed into a disgruntled drunk rather quickly, was rude to the waitstaff, and staggered out of the bar before most others arrived. It was embarrassing and I'm pretty sure she got a DUI because the manager called the cops on her. So bizarre. I should have left earlier instead of putting my name in to do a NIN song...I don't think the crowd would have gone for it.

Today is day 1 of 4 off (hell yeah) but it wasn't supposed to be this way. I was planning on spending today and tomorrow studying for my ACLS classes Wed and Thurs. Originally was working those 2 days but arranged my schedule to accommodate the class. Got an email 3 days ago informing me the classes were cancelled. Great, thanks. Now I'm working all weekend, 3 weekends in a row. Now I have to make more arrangements to get atleast my BLS renewed by the end of the month, otherwise, I can't work. Not a bad thing in my eyes but they frown upon that. And speaking of work, I won't go into detail, but I cried for the first time at work yesterday...since making the transfer. I don't know why I let it get to me so much but I'm sensitive and can't properly stand up to people (a smug, complacent, misogynistic neurosurgery resident in this case). Now I will be brooding with anger and revenge fantasies for who knows how long because I can't let things go and move on. I did, however, fill out my first disruptive behavior quantros today and hopefully someone behind DHMCs zero tolerance policies will fucking do something about it.

Still hanging out with Kalen. I'm being my usual, wishy washy loner self but he seems to really like me. He's very confident and persistent so I'll go with it. I tried to convince him to watch the Super Bowl with his dad but he was adamant about watching it with me. The Patriots won. It was a good game, not gonna lie.

What's good to eat: Worthy Burger and Big Fatty's BBQ

What's on repeat: Damian Marley And You Be Loved (and Tribal Seeds of course)
