Tis the Season

It looks like it's going to be a white Christmas this year...we've had a couple of storms already and I guess that also translates into a long season. Thankful for my garage (it's been used a lot lately). I hope it goes by quickly...maybe the new pair of snowshoes I just bought will actually make it enjoyable to spend some time outdoors this winter and maybe the subsequent exercise will make me feel better about myself. Speaking of time going by fast...it's already been almost a month and a half since my last entry. I should be getting ready for bed (going back to days tomorrow) but I've put this off for days now and it gets more difficult to sit down and summarize things the more I procrastinate. Unproductivity and procrastination-the story of my life.

On Halloween, I headed to Claremont to go trick or treating with the cutest little Buzz Lightyear ever. Then we headed to my mom's for the best homemade beef stew. Betsy and Cort had a Halloween party at their new house Nov. 1st. Good times. Dayna and I (aka TMNT and a generic Rastafarian wearing a Tribal Seeds tshirt) were able to find their house in the middle of nowhere VT. Nov. 2nd marked the end of our vacation but it was an awesome end because we got to see Tribal Seeds in Providence...the event I've been waiting for for months. The drive down there was well worth it and heading back home at 2 am was well worth it because we got to hang out with them after the show AGAIN. This time, we took some pictures. They'll be in Boston in the spring...just waiting for the date to be officially announced and tickets to go on sale. I can't wait.

On the 11th, I finally got to head over to Cavendish to hang out with Grammy Fran. I got there around 2 and we just hung out and chatted until Diane and Cora arrived. Continued to do the same except with cocktails in our hands. Fran made stuffed zucchini, a delicious pasta bake, and garlic bread and we dug in after 3 whiskey and gingers lol. Oh and we polished of a bottle of wine during dinner. Good times hanging out with those ladies. I need to call them and set up a sleepover asap.

On the 14th, Brandi and I descended on East Longmeadow to spend the weekend with the Grindle family and meet the new baby boy Derek John. We did what we usually do, sit, chat, eat, watch TV, and shop. We had lobster Friday night, went to the mall Saturday, and I made lasagna roll-ups for Saturday night. Saturday night bonus: with Brandi's influence, I realized just how satisfying it is to smash something into a million pieces with a hammer. After breakfast and showers Sunday morning, we headed home around lunchtime. Those weekends always go by so fast.

Thanksgiving was my major holiday to work. I had to work 3 night shifts in a row so I wasn't able to eat Thanksgiving dinner until Saturday night. Luckily, my merm cooked a whole new bird over again so it was worth the wait. Just needed some coffee to perk me up first...3 night shifts are rude. I stuffed myself and got to take home 2 meals worth of leftovers yummmm. I think the Xmas season started well because, on the 30th, Dayna and I sipped vanilla vodka and eggnog, ate shepard's pie and cookies, decorated her tree, and capped the evening off with a trip to see the LaSalette lights in the Shaker village. Happy birthday, Jesus.

Next Wed, after my dentist appt., I am switching out my invisalign trays for the last pair of the whole process. I am so f**cking excited to be done with this. Not sure how, but I am celebrating. Oh, and I am choosing not to say anything about my job because I just don't feel like it right now.
