My life has been a little busy as of late so I am taking this opportunity to blog on a day that I'm feeling lazy (which is often, unfortunately). I can atleast feel somewhat productive. I'm currently splitting my attention between this and Cash Cab...I freakin love this show.
April was a busy month and so far May is proving to be the same. Work has been different since eDH go-live and it so far has been more of a pain in the ass and not worth the millions we paid for it. That's all I have to say about that.
Every day off, my goal is to study for 2 hours up until I take the GRE on August 1st...so far I'm a little behind but the hours can be made up if my motivation is ok. My worst area for preparation is the essay aspect of the test...I despise writing essays so I imagine I won't work very hard to prepare for them. So weak. I'm also supposed to be running on my days off but that doesn't always happen. Lazy today.
Dave had his graduation the second weekend in May so my Mom and I went and we went to the Baron after. Yummy. The following Saturday was also busy with the Steppin' Up to end domestic violence 5K, Maria's 1st birthday party, then I headed to Mont Vernon for Danielle's birthday. I plan to do as little driving around as possible this summer...I'm putting my foot down (especially if I have to sell myself to pay for gas).
I am just finishing up one of my mini vacations...the first in a while and it is fantastic. I can't wait for my week off in June. I saw the Deftones in Hampton Beach at a small venue on Thursday night and they are awesome. Did the March of Dimes walk with Ashley and others on Saturday then went to Madison's birthday party. Sunday was Mother's Day and I saw my Grammy for a little bit (she wasn't having a good day) and then my Mom and I went to Sherry's house for lunch.
I began my house search a couple weeks ago and only time will tell if I actually buy something this summer. Life is just up in the air and who knows how it will fall. I saw a cute house today and it's nice to envision having my own house but it's such a huge expense and responsibility and I just wish I wasn't alone in this venture :( Such is life.........C'MON LIFEEEEEEE
I'm starting to notice more wildlife around here...a moose was walking around the parking lot as I was getting home one night last weekend and a bear walked past my back door about an hour ago. Kind of unsettling. Anyways.
My family will be meeting the new Grammy in a few shorts week (holy shit) as she will be flying in from LA. She will be here for a long weekend and then she is driving to NC with her sister. Amazing. She is very much with it and very travel-savvy and I can't wait to know her. This whole situation is still so hard to believe...maybe once I meet her it'll seem real. What a great birthday present.
Must turn in, night.
