I Got The Call Blues

I've been on call since 0700 and I have 9 hours left. We only went in for one early afternoon STEMI and it would be fabulous if we don't have to go in again. I don't feel like feeling like poo tomorrow, especially since I have an early afternoon massage and have to do some form of exercise because I didn't do anything today. Before sitting down to write this, I chatted with my Uncle Paul for a little bit (he is getting a Watchman December 9th) and cleaned a very important electronic. Yesterday, I went to Barre, vacuumed my house, did a pile of dishes and grocery shopped. I also sent a card in the mail to Jen...Ashley told me a few weeks ago that her husband has esophageal cancer. I thought about it for a while and ultimately decided to do it because I'd rather her be upset with me for doing it vs. knowing I know and not acknowledging anything. I hope it's the right decision. I can't imagine going through something like that. He's our age.

When I left off last, I had the last weekend of my October vacation left. That Friday, I went for a walk, cleaned out my garage, and grocery shopped. Saturday, I did stuffies, made my annual pumpkin cheesecake and went to Ctown to hang out with Ashley. I chatted with the kids for a little bit before heading down to the Goss cave. Sunday, I took a walk, meal prepped, ran errands, and cleaned the Kittles' potty room (I call them my Kittles now). Monday, I did my semiannual bedroom deep cleaning, punctuated by a little visit from the Dickerson family. Going back to work after 2 weeks off is very, very difficult.

The following weekend, I went to Barre Saturday morning and did stuffies. Sunday (Halloween), I ran errands, did some laundry, meal prepped and chatted with Pete for about an hour. I got about 10-15 trick or treaters. I was hoping for more because I didn't want leftover candy but I ended up eating the rest of it. Oops. Monday, I did dishes, ran some errands and hung out in Windsor for a while. When I got home, I spruced up my grill by switching out the propane tank, cleaning the inserts, turning it on for a bit, and putting the new cover on it.

The following weekend, I vacuumed my house on Saturday and spent the rest of the afternoon in Windsor. It was Lydia's actual due date so they had a little get together. Sunday, I did dishes and some laundry, went for a walk, and took a bubble bath. Monday, I did my monthly HOA business, ran some errands (including checking out the new West Leb Target), and did a quick Peloton barre class. Earlier that week, someone...I don't know who, vomited what looked like string. Turns out it was a pile of worms (most likely roundworm), so I had to treat both cats. I brought Quinn to her vet and they put topical dewormer on the back of her neck. I then went to Xander's vet and they gave me 3 oral doses to give him...the last dose will be given tomorrow. Hopefully his poops become normal again. My poor baby. I'm not convinced he's recovered from whatever virus he got from her...Quinn's vet mentioned herpes virus. His face still seems slightly swollen and his eyes are still a little weepy. Again, my poor baby. I'm giving him probiotic powder once a day to hopefully restore his gut flora and improve his overall health and immune system.

Last weekend was pretty decent. Saturday morning, I went to Barre, did my stuffies and grocery shopped. My deck steps were rebuilt and they look so much better except I'm not crazy about the white but maybe it'll grow on me. If not, I can stain it to match the trim. Rich also came back Monday morning and put rocks inside my 2 window wells to eliminate a possible rodent entry point. Sunday, I worked 9 hours out of my 10.5 hour call shift. One of our patients was Meg B's hubby...he needed a tap in light of a recent lung cancer diagnosis. He was a perfect patient. Monday, I did a pile of dishes and laundry, met with the pest dude, ran some errands, cleaned the kittles' potty room and took a bubble bath.

Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted on all charges. Absolute bullshit.

I can't wait for Thanksgiving.

Kantoro is dating Carrie. Mind blown.

I bought new cushions for my patio furniture and I can't wait for winter to be over.

I finally passed along my Busy Women Wellness GC.

My Granny would have been 98 last week.

I am hopefully seeing RHCP at Fenway next year!
