I Wear White After Labor Day

 9.13:

Welp, this is going to be another entry that will be written over the course of a few days because I've, once again, mismanaged my time today. Although, it's not entirely my fault because I'm losing minimum 2 hours for an ACLS recert class later. Would be nice for these work requirements to fall within my 40 hour work week but that just means overtime pay which will pay for the inflatable kayak I purchased off the Amazon. It's been on my list forever and the fact that it's inflatable will solve my transport problem. Time to get on the water before it gets too cold! A nice end to an even nicer, low key weekend. Saturday, I got up and went to Barre then headed to Newbury for electrolysis. After my appointment, I popped over to New London and walked around CSC campus to think about the 20th anniversary of 9/11. Those events unfolded on my first morning of college classes and forever changed our country. The weather was perfect for a sad little stroll; it's crazy that 20 years has passed. I headed home to do Saturday stuffies and had a quiet night in. Sunday was low key, I went for a walk, grocery shopped, took a bubble bath and meal prepped. Today, I worked on some computer stuffies and reached out to a contractor and electrician.

I last left off right before my second summer vaca. When I take a vaca, it's always easier to describe my activities in bullet form:

Fri, Aug 13th: Home early. I relaxed for a bit with a stolen K cup of pumpkin spice coffee.

Sat: I packed up my old and new computer and headed down to Pembroke so Eric could help me start the transfer process. We got a lot done but by the time I left, the official transfer had not worked because the storage drive got corrupted (I subscribed today to itunes match to get the rest of my itunes unofficial music in my new library).

Sun: I made our HOA's 2021 budget, went for a walk, did the dishes, had our annual big HOA meeting and went grocery shopping.

Mon: Did laundry, ran a bunch of errands, got Trail Break take out, and finally put Pete's care package together.

Tues: Computer stuffies.

Wed: I went for a walk, did laundry and dishes, and took a bubble bath.

Thurs: After my telephone doc appt., I got ready and packed for a trip down to the farm with Simone. We arrived a little before dinner time and hung out for the rest of the evening. Uncle David made a delicious pasta dish with red sauce loaded with veggies.

Fri: Lots of swimming, at the lake but mostly in the hot tub for the girls. Cook out for dinner (prepared by Marc).

Sat: I took the girls mini golfing then we spent time at the main house for wood-fired pizza and live music. We ended up driving back home Saturday evening instead of Sunday due to the hurricane. Once we got home Saturday night, Xander had potty issues and left poo streaks all over my house. It proved to be a long day but I'm glad he did ok when I hosed his ass off in the sink lol.

Sun: A lazy day with a little laundry.

Mon: I had a dentist appointment in the morning, followed by errands, a walk, and a pile of dishes. I also signed a propane contract for the heating season for the first time. I hope it's worth it.

I went back to work Tuesday and was on call that night. We came in 0230-0630 but that was ok because I took Wednesday off to go see DMB in Gilford. I napped for as long as I could once I got home and officially decided to go hours before the show so I bought a ticket. I got home at 1230 so I felt like super crap on Thursday but it was worth it. I was so thankful I ran on Tuesday evening.

9.14:

The following weekend, I dropped off the remainder of wedding stuff in my garage at Snorse's house before going home after work Friday. Saturday, I got up and did stuffies then got ready for Snorse's wedding at Storr's Pond in Hanover at 4. It was a simple ceremony on the beach with a great live band and a killer potluck spread. I had fun with my cath lab peeps but it was a little chilly so I headed home around 730. I'm not much for staying out late anymore. Sunday, I headed down to Denise and Eric's so he could finish transferring my old computer. Before heading home, I popped down to Tyngsboro, MA to stock up on the goods and grabbed some take out at Lui Luis. Monday, I grocery shopped and ran other errands, went for a walk, meal prepped and cleaned up, and cleaned my bathroom.

Last weekend was Labor Day weekend, but of course, having Mondays off, it's just another weekend. Except, it was a short weekend because I was on call for 24 starting Sunday morning. It proved to be a busy day (about 11 hours) but it wasn't bad in general. I didn't have to go in overnight so I was able to be somewhat productive on Monday. Saturday, I went to Barre, did my Saturday stuffies and grocery shopped. I was supposed to get together for a talk with Heather but she canceled because she claimed to be sick. Haven't heard from her since. Monday, I meal prepped, did my monthly HOA duty, ran some errands, shopped for baby Dickerson, and went for a walk.

That's about it for this month. I'm currently on call and hope I can stay in bed AND actually sleep tonight.

RIP Graham Grindle.

The Antivax protesters have disappeared from 120...

Xander is officially 16!

I will be reading my Granny's obituary at her graveside October 1st.

I'm hoping I've found the handyman who will spruce up my back steps.
