Sitting down and actually doing this is getting harder and harder, much like most things in my life. My motivation to work out has been dwindling (it doesn't help that I injured my knee some how) and I've been back at work for a week now and I'm ready for another two week vacation. There is much to worry about these days...the country is unwell and the election is going to cause great unrest. My family is broken. I'm not going to go into great detail about that because who knows who still reads this. The paper trail of exchanges is in Facebook Messenger. It's been a cold week and if it's any indication of what's coming then I may not make it. It was spitting snow a little this morning and we got a little more snow on Friday. Aside from the weather, my week back at work was pretty decent. It wasn't crazy busy and it is always a little nice to get back to a routine although I know full well the routine will get old and tiring real quick. Friday, after work, I continued my search for my fav ice cream and it was unsuccessful. I haven't been able to find it in a few weeks and it's been pretty depressing. It's the only flavor I can't live without; my Friday staple. I planned to get up Saturday and go to Barre but I decided to continue resting my knee. I'm not sure what I did but it was very painful on Wednesday. It could be an overuse injury...I had run more than I usually do while on vaca plus Barre and a walk. Tuesday night I used the elliptical which really didn't help. I haven't done anything since so I hope my knee behaves at Barre tonight. Saturday, I did my usual stuffies then headed to a bonfire Halloween party at Dayna and Cory's. I went as Daria and nailed it. Yesterday, I did some cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping. Ran into BonBon at the Hannafords. I was going to try the elliptical but bailed and cleaned Xander's potty room. Cleaned my bathroom this morning. I have therapy after this then Barre class.
Pretty much the only thing to cover is my two week vacation. Instead of writing a giant paragraph about it, I think it'll be easier to put it in list form by day. Also short on time (usual procrastination). I will start with the first Friday:
10.9
Fri: Home
Sat: Ziplining with the Goss family at Morningside. Hung out for a little bit and had Tremont.
Sun: Dinner at Newick's in Concord for my mom's 70th. Shit officially hit the fan. Took a walk when I got home, did the dishes.
Mon: Stuffies, errands,
Barre class.
Tues: Errands,
groceries, made tacos
Wed: Physical, made spaghetti sauce and lasagna, went for a run.
Thurs: Bathroom floor ripped up,
new tiles placed, dishes, RBG documentary. Facebook message.
Fri: Bathroom floor grouted, errands
(orchard apples, Halloween costume)
Sat: Lazy depression
Sun: Slept in, dishes,
lazy depression.
Mon: Toilet put back in in bathroom, errands,
run
Tues: Dropped Xander off at the vet for his teeth cleaning. He didn't actually get it done because his lab work showed early signs of kidney disease and a chest xray showed bronchitis so we were sent home with antibiotics and kidney food samples. While he was there, I got breakfast in Woodstock and decided to continue on to the Calvin
Coolidge historic site in Plymouth VT. Shortly after I got home, Anthony officially finished my bathroom so I cleaned it and the spare bedroom.
Wed: Made cheeseburger pizza and a raspberry cheesecake, cleaned my living room.
Thurs: I dropped off the cheesecake and a salad for Serena at work then headed for a rail trail
run, officially took my first TUBBY and cleaned my kitchen afterwards.
Fri: Went for a walk, washed my front porch and deck trim in preparation for staining, made apple crisp.
Sat: Barre, went to True Value to shake up the can of stain,
ice cream search (unsuccessful), finally painted my front porch and the deck trim, caught up with Suzy on the phone.
Sun: Sheets, errands,
walk
Mon: Dishes, cleaned my deck slider
track, run.
That's pretty much it. Short and a mix of sweet and bitter. You know what else is bitter? Mice are finding their way back in to my basement. Fuck. Who knows what's going to happen over the next few weeks. I'm scared.
