Wifey McBeaty

I really just don't understand why commercials are allowed to just blatantly lie to the public. I mean, there really are people out there that just don't know any better. I was watching this commercial today for a sweet steam mop. I was thinking, man this would make my apartment feel so clean, but I realized it probably doesn't do what they say it does. Anyways.

It's the eve of another work week and I'm just relaxing watching Family Guy. I don't know what I'd do without these Family Guy mini marathons. I made minestrone soup in the crockpot today and it was mighty tasty. I also had to bring Xander to the vet this morning because I finally called to ask the vet about his recent symptoms of sneezing and blowing snot rockets all over the place. He's also been rather inactive for him and gagging a lot. Sooooo it turns out he has an upper respiratory infection and I have to shove antibiotics down his throat twice a day for 2 weeks. Poor Xander. He also has a little fever. The vet had to stick a thermometer up his bum. He purred. Weird cat. He's on the road to getting better and soon he'll be Xander again. I'm gonna buy him a new bed once he's not blowing snots everywhere.

I can't believe it's the end of July already. I love fall but that just means it's that much closer to winter. Boooo. When you have a pool, summer is that much better. I'm trying to spend as much time by the pool as I can. I haven't even gone to the movies. Although, Heather and I are going to see the new X-files movie that's coming out soon. July 4th weekend was nice although I had to work a 12 hour shift on Saturday. Someone decided to call in sick on the busiest weekend and I was the sorry shmuck on call. It wasn't bad though and it made for a nice paycheck.

The following weekend was Melissa's (Brandi's best friend from home) batchelorette party and bridal shower. A lot of driving and not much sleep but it was fun. We went to Mohegan Sun Friday night and gambled a little. I never make any money. Drove to Maine the next day and went boating with Brandi and Mike in their boat...very nice! The shower was Sunday, Hawaiian-style and it was very nice also. Drove home afterwards with a little detour to pick up Xander.

This past weekend was a 6 day weekend, tehe. Suzy was home and we hung out Thursday. Ended up singing some karaoke with some other people that night and using my hottub for the first time. I should use it more often. It's nice! But a little too warm for the summertime. Suzy is renewing her contract in San Diego for 3 more months so I'm going to try and go for a long weekend. Good times!

I'm going to a Red Sox game in Boston this weekend! I can't wait for some Fenway beer, dogs, and fries!!! This time I won't be in the bathroom when they win the game. Unless it's an emergency.

Until next time...!
