Well, only 2 days remain out of my 14 day vacation. The 2 fastest weeks ever. Booooo. It was a very nice vacation, although I could have used a lot more sun. I'm really in desperate need of some warm weather. Let's recap.
My last day at work (Wednesday), I managed to get out an hour early after specifically asking if I could leave, knowing that only 2 rooms were running and there were a lot of extra people walking around the OR. It pissed me off that she actually sat there for a minute to think about it. What a hellhole. I'm finding that 12 hour people putting themselves on the go home early list is pointless. Anyways.
I was on my way to CT with Xander the next day after packing, cleaning, and doing my gym time. Mom brought me to the airport on Friday after we all went out to lunch. Faith was the victim of bodily function text messages, courtesy of Jeff's phone. Hehe. I finally arrived in Denver around midnight, Denver time, after about 3 delays and no luggage. Suzy and I drove around Denver and ate at a 24 hour diner because I was starving. Saturday we went to the 16th street mall in downtown Denver, had dinner, and went to a Colorado Avalanche game...fun! I ended up being 70 degrees that day...fabulous! We went out to the bars in downtown Denver that night.
Sunday it dropped 40 degrees from the day before and it was snowing. Ugh. We went to an indoor, upscale mall. I bought some nice sunglasses and a dress to wear to all the weddings I'm going to this year. That night, we went to see Step Up 2 at the theater and hung out in the hottub. Monday we went to Colorado Springs after a failed attempt to go to the Imax theater. We did some sightseeing, which included walking through the Garden of the Gods (where I took most of my pics). We went to the mall (can you tell we like to shop?) and went out to dinner at a Mexican restaurant...yum! The we went to a bar where military men like to congregate for a drink and headed back to Denver afterwards. We also went to the Denver museum of history for a little bit before going to the Imax. Tuesday we saw the Alps at the Imax in the Museum of Nature and Science and drove into the mountains. We had to turn around earlier than expected because there was a blizzard and it was 30 degrees colder than where we began. I couldn't see as much scenery as I would have liked. Suzy made yummy chicken parm for dinner and and her friend Paul from downstairs joined us. He got a little buzzed from the wine and started reading in an exaggerated british accent from a book composed of scientific answers to these rediculous, random questions Suzy had bought that day at the museum. It was damn funny. We ended the night in her apartment complex's hottub. Which reminds me, I should probably use mine before they boot me out of here.
Wednesday we went out to breakfast and she drove me to the airport. I ended up getting there too late so they had to put me on another flight. Atleast I had my luggage when I got back to Hartford. Mom and Uncle David came to pick me. I hung out on the farm until finally coming back to NH Sunday. Back to reality.

Yes, I know that feeling, watching your endlessly long vacation go by and then finding yourself on the verge of returning to work... All things pass, work and vacation both.
I spent my weeklong Winter Vacation sitting at the dining room table typing grant applications. Then on the antepenultimate day the main one fell through (for this application cycle, at least). Bummer!

WHERE are those PICTURES to which you allude?

Danielle, this is your big sister. You should not gripe about your workplace on a blog that anyone can see. That is all. Brat.
