I'm currently in the midst of a small mini-vaca...starting not even a week after the end of my March vaca. I wish it could be like this all the time but that's not what life has in store, unfortunately. It's so nice to have extra time to get stuff done but I gotta return to reality sometime. I will after SOJA tomorrow, I suppose. A 2 day work week followed by an entire weekend of call. I'd say bring on the cash but I won't get overtime until I work over 40 hours. Oh well. I can at least look forward to warmer weather, after today. This weekend's been pretty low key. I was home Friday (after a long day topped off with chauvinism), home Saturday doing stuffies all day after Barre and a breakfast date with Dayna, and spent the rainy day yesterday cleaning my living room and kitchen. Today, I'm hoping to go for a run after I finish this and go hang out at the Cantina tonight.
The end of the first weekend in March was pretty productive. That Sunday, I headed to Ctown for the day to hang out with Simone. We went to Ashley's house to go sledding with the Goss children in their neighbors yard. We spent some time inside after playing games before heading home. The next day, I had to come back to Ctown to get my taxes done and pick up my bike after getting it serviced. I went snowshoeing in Moody Park for a bit then headed to the Cantina for a margarita and some take out before heading home.
The second weekend in March was pretty low key. I was home pretty much all weekend with the exception of a long run on Saturday and grocery shopping on Sunday. On Monday, I ran some errands and snowshoed on the rail trail for a little bit. As of 1730 on the 15th, I started my annual March vacation. It was pretty decent but went by too fast like vacations always do. It went a little something like this:
Friday: Home
Saturday: I ran the Lebanon Shamrock Shuffle 5k at 12. My net time was 34:27. Dayna was there but she walked it. Bonnie and Kantoro ran it also among other people from APD. I met up with my coworker Tara after for a beer and hung out with her family. They left so I hung out with the APD group before heading home myself to get ready to go to Ctown. I had tacos with the Goss family and hung out with the kids before they went to bed. The evening went per usual in the basement, catching up and laughing.
Sunday: I headed back to Ctown to occupy Simone outside the house for a little bit. We went to DD for a little treat then to the movies to see Captain Marvel. My favorite character was Goose the cat. We headed back home and spent some time on her new tablet and playing outside. We went to Moody (briefly, as people apparently let their dogs pee and poop all over the place) then made colorful drawings all over the snow in the side yard. I stopped and chatted with my mom and Ray before heading home.
Monday: Stuffies at home and grocery shopping.
Tuesday: Appointment in Newbury and meal prepping.
Wednesday: Washed all my bedding and went for a run.
Thursday: Cleaned my bathroom and went to Barre.
Friday: Semiannual bedroom cleaning.
Saturday: Quick elliptical workout then I got ready and headed to Ctown to pick up Simone for the night. We were at my house for a bit then got ready and spent a few hours at the aquatic center. We came back home to warm up, watch movies, and play. We had cheese and crackers, pizza, smart puffs, frozen yogurt tubes, and hot chocolate. Headed to bed around 10ish.
Sunday: We woke up around 7ish (I was able to doze a little bit despite the space intrusion and the bedside light on. We hung out for a little bit watching movies, playing, and munching on smoothies, yogurt, an egg cup, and granola bars (an oatmeal and clementine attempt was made. We headed out mid morning and spent some time at the playground at the high school...even though there was a winter ban but I assumed once I noticed that nobody would be paying attention or enforcing anything on a Sunday. Close to noon, we headed to Hanover to have lunch that consisted of a bubble tea for me and froyo with gummies on top for Simone. So nutricious. I had her home by 2 and I was back home and showered for my sushi date with Betsy at 4. We had a good time catching up. She couldn't stay out too long as she had some mama bear things to tend to. I went home and busied myself with tasky things to stay awake until TWD. On Monday, I cleaned and organized my closet (after switching out all my old childhood hangers a few weeks ago). It's so hard for me to get rid of clothes, I don't know why. I went for a run after and called my vacation good.
I've been listening to Jurassic 5 radio a lot lately on Pandora and loving it. I've been inspired after watching Hip Hop Evolution on Netflix while I was on vaca but I'm switching gears a little bit and starting a SOJA station to get ready for tomorrow. PEACE.
